Collaborate with The Belonging Project
The Belonging Project is more than a learning platform. It's a living initiative dedicated to advancing authentic inclusion in schools, communities, and society. Rooted in Alberta’s inclusive education vision and grounded in real-world stories, The Belonging Project supports meaningful change through both digital learning and in-person collaboration.

In addition to course-based professional learning, The Belonging Project offers a range of services to support families, teams, schools, or communities.​

💡Developmental Phase One - Starting September 2025
​We are currently offering school divisions the opportunity to participate in Developmental Phase One of The Belonging Project (2-3 year time frame starting in September 2025). Collaborating with us includes both contracted development of courses tailored to the division’s specific needs and access to the evolving Belonging Project learning platform, which will include access to the entire ecosystem including any courses developed through the project or through contracts with other divisions throughout all of Phase One. In addition, there is the option to add customized consultation or professional development sessions with our Belonging Allies to deepen and extend the work (see information below). Consultation and professional development can be stand alone or as part of a package that includes course development and/or platform access. By working directly with school divisions in this developmental stage we ensure that the courses and materials developed are in direct response to current support needs. ​​
💡Why Belonging Allies
An ally is not someone who stands at a distance offering advice from the sidelines. An ally chooses to walk alongside. An ally listens, learns, and lends their strength in ways that help others flourish. Allyship is not about taking over but about sharing in the work, holding space, and designing pathways that make inclusion real.

For us, being Belonging Allies also means being story allies. We believe story is how change takes root. It begins in the stories of learners, classrooms, and communities who dare to imagine something new. We use story to show what belonging looks like, and we walk with educators and systems as allies in creating new stories of inclusion, equity, and flourishing.

As Belonging Allies, we are committed to collaboration. We create with educators, families, and systems, not for them, bringing tools, ideas, and stories that spark collective design. We are committed to design and creation. We roll up our sleeves to develop story-rich professional learning courses, build ecosystems of podcasts and resources, and shape spaces for connection and growth. We are committed to facilitation and guidance. We serve as facilitators, consultants, and companions in professional development, helping schools and systems bring vision into practice. We are committed to the stewardship of story. We hold the vision of belonging by amplifying voices, shaping narratives, and co-authoring stories where every learner is seen, valued, and included.

The title Belonging Allies reflects the heart of our work. We are not here as executives or CEOs but as partners, co-creators, and story-weavers of belonging. We bring expertise and experience, yet we always come as allies, walking with others in the shared work of designing communities and stories where every learner belongs.
